| Recorded and mixed at Mind And Media, winter 1989-1990. Edited at Mainstream. 'Dies Irae' recorded live at Taksigelseskirken December 17th 1989. |
| Notes: | The 'Imperfect' release was to some degree a continuation of the conceptual idea behind 'The Hall Of Mirrors' MC from 1989, in the sense that it contained tracks with other lead singers than MH himself and used a simular continuous sound environment to surround its melodies. With recitations and theatrical sound effects the album blended promo-single tracks like "Prime Material" and "Between The Two" with bizarre audio scenes read by the Dutch scholar Stephen Muires. The CD also contained an excerpt from MH's 'Requiem' (performed live at a church in Copenhagen in December 1989), "Dies Irae".
The record was unanimously praised by the press, but - obviously - didn't reach the same popularity as its predecessor, 'Presence'.
Simultaneously to this release Virgin Records distributed the VHS 'Audio-Visual' with videos for the tracks "Beat Of The Drum" and "Real Thing". This release also included the more abstract video series 'The Point Of No Return'. |
