| Recorded and mixed at Karma Studios, winter 1982-1983. |
| Notes: | 'Ritual' was the first record MH released using his own name, a mini-album consisting of three pieces of music, part 1 being based entirely on percussion and industrial loops and part 3 being a suite for violins. The release reflected MH's interest in tribal and classical music much more clearly than any of the earlier Ballet Mécanique records and was released on the independent and fairly obscure label Karma Records as a reaction to his former contract on CBS.
The record was released concurrently with his first book 'Genopbyggelsen Er Stoerre End Selve Skabelsen' ('The Recreation Is Greater Than The Creation Itself'), a series of reflections on existence and contemporary culture. |
